Stave 1
Today we learned about a guy named Scrooge. Scrooge owned a buisness with his partner Marley. Until Marley died. Scrooge became grouchy and mean. No one wanted to be around Scrooge but he didn't care. Nothing mattered to Scrooge when Marley died. No cold could freeze him no heat could burn him. He was just a cranky, old man. In this part Scrooge is home alone. He locks all of his doors and windows and puts on his sleeping cap and night gown. While he is eating his supper all of a sudden, every clock in his house started ringing and going off. Then Scrooge here's tons of chains being dragged across his floor toward his room. As the noise got closer and closer Scrooge did nothing. Then Marley appeared and told Scrooge to get his act together with the whole Christmas deal. He also told Scrooge that he would be visited by 3 ghost.
Stave 2
In this stave, Scrooge is visited by the first ghost of Christmas past. By that past he means Scrooge's past life. The ghost takes Scrooge back in time which is where he saw his old friend Fezziwig. Scrooge saw his younger self walk into the house to see Fezziwig. Scrooge also was acquainted by a guy Dick Wilkins. After Scrooge's experience with the ghost he went home got into bed and went back to sleep only to know he was going to wake right back up to another ghost. Even though didn't like the thought of another ghost visiting him he just knew it was going to happen soon so he went to sleep.
Stave 3
Scrooge first off awoke in his bedroom just sitting on his bed. Which is where he met the Ghost of Christmas Present. The ghost took Scrooge to the Cratchit family household. Where he saw his clerk and his wife. His clerk can deal with Scrooge and if he says anything to him he will get over it but his wife can't stand Scrooge. Not like anybody really should because he's so grouchy and mean. I believe that the clerks wife will do almost anything to get rid of Scrooge. We found out the clerks real name is Bob Cratchit and we found out he has kids also. Scrooge wished for happiness and pleasure for that family because they were appreciative for what they have.
Stave 4
In this stave Scrooge met the Ghost of Yet To Come or the Ghost of Christmas future. Basically the ghost took scrooge into the future where he saw his future-self. I would't say Scrooge ended up like Marley but he did see his grave stone. Scrooge did not want to go that way. So Scrooge decided he needed to change his act. In that which he did and what better time to do it than during Christmas time. Either way it wouldn't matter how his dead body was his spirit would still roam the Earth for no reason. Instead of his spirit resting in peace he would end up like Marley which is not a good thing. Scrooge went and visited tons of people with his new attitude. Especially his nephew and his clerk Bob Cratchit.
